Legal Issues in the Workplace: COVID-19 & Beyond
Legal issues in the workplace related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) seem to grow exponentially along with the disease. Most employers have little time, resources or advance preparation with which to respond. This program will discuss an employer’s related legal obligations and provide practical examples for dealing with the crisis and beyond.
Topics will include:

Operational resilience, task force membership, functions, nimbleness
- Emergency Response:
Workforce availability, essential workers, employee agreements, surveys, Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) & other leave
- Disaster Recovery:
Work-from-home, wage and hour compliance, workers’ compensation, accommodations, security, written agreements
- Incident Response:
Requesting employee information, testing, contact tracing, privacy, quarantine
- Business Continuity:
Supply chain, contractors, employer liability, compliance with local orders, protecting workforce, travel restrictions, litigation
