The Inaugural Laclede County Agribusiness Summit and Expo is a free, half-day program hosted by MU Extension. The event provides community members access to essential resources and educational opportunities for Laclede County and area farmers, farm supporters, hobby farmers, future farmers, cooperative farming groups, and other stakeholders in one location.

Join your friends, neighbors, and family immediately following the Agribusiness Brunch for an exciting and enriching experience that will take place from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at The Exchange at Wall Street Cattle Company. This comprehensive event is not to be missed, offering a wealth of educational programming on the latest trends in agriculture, agritourism, value-added farming, hydroponic food production, farm safety, health, ergonomics, cooperative farming and local foods, farm financing, and much more to help you start or grow your own agricultural business.

Plus, from 1:15 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., catch presentations by Bill McKelvey of MU Extension and Anna Maria Desipris, Sun and Bloom Farms co-owner.

The Ag Summit and Expo is a gateway to valuable resources for anyone currently participating or interested in farming, fishing, and forestry as a means of income. Learn about beekeeping as a business from Heroes to Hives Missouri Chapter. Enjoy a unique barrel-making demonstration courtesy of Missouri Cooperage throughout the event. End your experience with a networking session featuring a complimentary Missouri wine tasting hosted by the Missouri Wine and Grape Board and Mathany Vineyards from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.
